I'm making a slideshow in iDVD and I just want to use the start of a piece of music as background noise, before the singer kicks in. Anyone know how this is done?
Download Audacity for free and cut the bit you want and copy and paste it. Then export it as an MP3 then import onto your slideshow.
Yes totally possible with garage band and probably very integrated on a newer mac. IDVD garageband and imovie all share your media libraries.
We don't know how you created your movie and dont how you want to make it so its hard to advise.
if it was me I would create the visuals in imovie, create a track in garage band, underscore that track in imovie and then export the result to idvd.

Cbike, the movie was made on a camera and imported into iphoto then dropped into idvd.
