As you all seem to arguing the days away I thought I'd butt in and ask if anyone is doing a large ride say a coast to coast that would draw interest from sponsors I'd be interested to speak to you.
My job is to bring in money to a Blind Society (small local not all self funded) in the NW and 3 of our builders doing work on our premises are doing the coast to coast (think its to robin bay?) 192 miles and have very kindly agreed to make us their cause. I'll do all the hard work [b]*s****s not that the cycling's not the hard bit*[/b] and set up profiles and links on website, virgin money giving etc so all you need to do is post your ride on your facebook, twitter etc and then email to friends I'll do the rest!!
Plus if you help me raise cash I'll gag Binners and lock him in our shed for a whole week then you can all argue in peace how does that sound......? 😉

TJ that's a fab idea!! We do have a blind tandem club here in Bury we're linked with that are always looking for riders but it could be done anywhere as an awareness raising effort too.
Herman - just in general I meant, our builders are doing the coast to coast in Sept but it could be anything!
