A bit of a long shot, but is anyone here a Las Vegas resident? I'm trying to get hold of an update for something that my club ordered several months ago and the place is not answering their phone, so I was hoping to find someone that could check in person.

Problem is solved! Finally got to talk to the chap and he explained that the loss of communication was due to IT issues following a move from one hosting provider to another.
Apparently the door and handle should be getting shipped next week, which is nice. Soon our little Cessna 206 will have a shiny new door and us camera fliers will have a handle on the outside to hold on to when we are waiting for the tandems to leave.

Let me get this straight… you’re entrusting your life and well-being to a handle on the outside of a plane door, that was built in Las Vegas, the place where the rest of the world goes to make terrible choices, lose everything, and get absolutely shit faced? And is also the home of organised crime and broken dreams and generally short termist thinking because it’s about to run out of water and electricity because they didn’t think that far ahead when they built it?
Personally, I think I’d like my life saving doors and door handles built somewhere with more of a reputation for careful thought and planning and caution… probably somewhere like…Sweden?

I have only briefly been to Vegas. The future Mr stwhannah picked me up from the airport there for our first date. We drove down the strip and went to a local Ethiopian restaurant. I spent much of the time there trying not to release all my post-flight farts in his company. But also trying to release them before driving to our accommodation at Boulder City. It was a tricky time.
Sting is starting a week long residency at the Vegas Colosseum from tomorrow

Boulder City = Bootleg Canyon uplift, Hoover Dam, and a night on the beer down The Strip.
