How long should it take a recorded delivery letter to arrive in the UK from France.

I await the wisdom of the hive mind.

I don't want to sound too pessimistic, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the French postal services to deliver a letter - it took them 220 years to deliver a letter from Paris to Toulouse :

depends where in France too. Some places used to arrive next day and others would take 2 weeks.

That's what I was hoping for.

A French armoiremonger owes me £450 (long long long story) and I was wonderering how long to wait from "ze cheque iz in ze post" until I mount an invasion.
