I'm down there tonight - where should I meet my mate for a pint?

When I've been passing through, I've often met folk at the Barrowboy and Banker, just across the road from London Bridge station/tube. ( http://www.barrowboy-and-banker.co.uk/)

It's a Fullers house, beer's alright, food's been good when we've eaten there, nice pies, and 2 minutes from the station.

My personal fave is the Market Porter, but I have not eaten there

Walk down to Bermondsey High street. 10 minutes the other side of London Bridge station

Yebbut Fuller's beer is horrible; too warm, too strong, too sticky and too flat. Give me a nice fresh session bitter any time.

+1 on The George if you're actually around London Bridge

If you're the other side of the river - either The Ship (in Talbot Court) or the Walrus & Carpenter. Both Nicholsons, both keep good guest ales.

I sometimes go to the Bermondsey Yard Cafe for lunch, it has nice food and great beer with an 'independent feel' - I'm sure it's owned by a big brand if that matters to you. It's about a 5 minute walk from London Bridge Station.

Made the call on meeting at the George. If you're out, say hi!

If you fancy some interesting beers afterwards, head to The Rake, south side of Borough Market.
