Evening all.
My boy has an offer of stacking several tonnes of logs for money. Now I know many of you are proud of your log piles but how much would you pay for a 16 year old to do the job for you? I think it'll be a couple of days work.
Very little money in moving logs around I'm afraid. Pending how far the wood needs moving, several tons could be as little as a mornings work.
If you live in Cardiff, and your son can cut the wood as well as pile it, I have a few cedars' worth in my back garden. I figure it'll be worth at least a glass of cold lemonade.
Cardiff may be a little far to travel.
But what hourly rate??
My daughter and grandson net logs for money in the winter, they get paid 20p per net and my grandson can do about 50 an hour when he needs the money... He can normally manage a couple of hours at it.
Netting logs is hard hard work though, but gives you an idea of what they earn.
