Are locking wire plyers much of a muchness or are there any to look out for or avoid?

I bought a pretty budget set from eBay. Very happy with them. Lots of fun to use! Im sure better ones do something better but for re wiring grips twice a year they are bob on

Oh yes, they look like much fun. That's why I'm trying to guage how much to spend.

My years old cheap set are fine, there isn’t much scope for better given their simple job. I suppose you could go so crappy they don’t grip the wire?

What you don’t see in that video is the bit that lets you twirl them like a Yankee screwdriver

Sorry, bad video choice on my part. Should have picked the one with Adam Savage. He appears to love them, even though he has little use for them.
