black sheep and speckled hen!

you didnt start off with anything nice in the first place, but Pedigree is certainly even worse 🙂

You have my commiserations.

Time to move to spirits and mixers.

There is always wife beater (Stella Artois) as a last resort if you cannot take the pedigree 😆 At least your innards will have a good clear out.

Yes, it's limited but only 15 mins walk away, others are over twice the distance 🙁

i wish my local was limited to black sheep, old speckled hen & pedigree

instead it's Tetleys or lager

Mine sells only Beamish and Smithwick. A brew based on old sweaty socks is better.

Black Sheep is a decent drop of beer, but not so keen on the other two since they fell into the clutches of Greene King

they're mass produced crap.

Not nearly niche enough for my palette.

And anyone who says pedigree is anything but utter rubbish has got shot tastebuds, even if Black Sheep and Hen are drinkable. 😉

I refer you again to the aforementioned Tetleys. compared to this, all ales are good

and fannys is too far for my idle legs

fred, you think Sam Smiths is proper beer.
That rules you out of this for starters.

So come on then Stoner; what is 'proper' beer then?

Sam Smiths wheaty beer and pure brewed lager are excellent. Many others agree with me.

'Ooh look I'm superior to you because the beers I drink are oh so superior to the ones you drink and you're just an ignorant savage'.

Jeeze. Have a word with yourself mate. 🙄

If you like something, enjoy it. Don't worry about what others think. Or you end up always trying to out-niche everyone to show just how awesome you are, and forget to actually enjoy anything properly.

Not had Speckled Hen, but Black Sheep is ok.

For an obviously well educated and intelligent person, you really are rather rude, aren't you?

If you were more like me, more people would like you and you would be happier. 🙂

Some of my favourite beer is from the Meantime brewery, near where I live. Lovely beers, and even Captain Flashheart approves! Can't be bad then. Stoner probbly thinks they're crap though...

I used to drink JW Lees, generally Bitter but occasionally Moonraker when feeling brave, so what do I know?

The boardroom of JW Lees was the boardroom used by Newton & Ridley in Coronation St.

proof that RD knows nowt about good ale

i know what i like and Landlord isn't one of them as it's used as a token "real ale" around here in the pseudo posh pubs and probably isn't kept properly
