Google isn't helping but I've got a line from a film going around in my head and I just cannot think which film it would have come from.
Its "why don't you stick to your last like a good cobbler?".

It'll be an old film, probably about the war and i seem to think its someone coming up with a new invention or scheme that the powers that be thought was rubbish.

Help or I won't sleep tonight 🙂

The Dam busters is an excellent suggestion and I’ve just finished watching it - sadly it’s not the one.

Strangled Eggs was an excellent suggestion!

First thing I thought of was Foghorn Leghorn, I had no idea that was a name of episode.

If anyone is still interested I've found out there it was from! It wasn't from a film as it turns out, it was indeed The Dam Busters but it was from the Australian version which was broadcast on the radio in 1954. It was even narrated by Paul Brickhill who wrote the book.
