I haven't seen the film yet but it raises interesting questions. In the real-world, does anyone you know use Ritalin, or similar, to enhance mental performance in exams, work etc?
What's you view about the risks and ethics of this concept?
Right, I'll order some Ritalin of the Interweb.
Ritalin is like taking speed effectively.
Some of the "smart drugs" do work. However I would not use them regularly. Anything that has an effect on your brain chemistry could have all sorts of effects from long term regular use.
At university I used to occasionally write overdue essays whilst speeding. Think I got 2:1 for most of them 😉
When I used to play as a hockey goalie in the Southern Premier A I would have 3 or 4 redbulls before the game to speed up my reactions. Did over do it one day though when after the match, spent the rest of the afternoon drinking RB&V and was in shaky pieces by the evening.
Now Im usually smacked up on either Camomile Tea or a nice Amontillado 🙁
