A rare Sunday off.
๐Ÿ™‚

As the jaunty sound of Barwick Green soothes my troubled soul, my mind turns to curry.
Nehari, to be exact.

Funds and time are tight, so a trip to Manchester isn't on the cards.

Anyone know somewhere a bit nearer where I can buy a home style curry on a Sunday morning?

Sulamania in Burnley is great if it's still there.

Cheers.

Sounds perfect.
Will have a ride down shortly and see if it's still there.

How did you get on?
I forgot my other local (non Bradford/Manchester) fave, the Cuckoo Cafe near the station in Rochdale.

It's being refitted at the mo - sign's still up though.
Asked around, but no one seems to know whether it's been taken over or not.

Not been to Rochdale since the Kurdland Grill on Drake Street closed (the one just up from the organ and accordion shop).
I miss that place - food was amazing.
Language barrier not a problem, you just sat down and they brought you food until you made the international patting stomach/rolly eyes gesture that means 'I'm as full as a mop, but that was very nice'.
Believe the bus station area has been revamped - I'll have a look and see if the Cuckoo Cafe's still there.

Cool.

Off tomorrow.
๐Ÿ™‚

Wonder if it's the same people who had the Cuckoo Chef just off Oldham Street in Manchester?
That was nice.
