[Closed] Lightning vs caravan

Seeing as Stw knows everything...

After three days of watching the world burn around me for 20+km in every direction the creator of the fires has arrived overheated in a rather epic (even by desert standards) display of light and sound effects.

As per previous thread living in vans out here, vans made of aluminium laminated bonded foam sandwich with aluminium right angle section reinforcement. Now as they have stabilising steel legs at each corner which I imagine will act as an earth, and the ally sandwich walls are contiguous and join the chassis and hence the earthed legs I'm assuming it will act as a faraday cage in the same way as a car shell?

I hoping providing I'm not touching the metal frame they should offer some degree of protection? We are by far the highest objects in quite a flat desert bar a few gum trees...
