Was thinking about this this morning. What little luxuries have you bought yourself that didn't cost much but that you use frequently?
Mine is a decent shaving brush. It is so much nicer than the crappy one I had before.
KingsandQueens soap
£4 in waitrose, the blingiest soap they sell
Decent balsamic vinegar. About £15 but SO much nicer than the low grade stuff.
Nice bread - the 10p white-sliced-plastic stuff is just sh!te
Home grown stuff a few pence for some seeds or free cutting and in a few months fresh food
Getting up on a day off work and wandering to the shop for the paper. then reading it outside.
I always tend to have a fridge full of decent cheeses. I'll always stock up so I can end the day with a glass of wine (or 7) and some cheese and biccies. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese.
Stove top coffee doodad - Decent coffee for it.
Really good electric toothbrush, worth every penny.
Good assam tea
fox's bisquits 8)
Aloe Vera toilet tissue
Is the purpose of this thread to out the middle-class?
If so, it's doing a great job, and I bet more will be outed.

Outing the middle class? Like that was neccessary?
Next time you're out on a group ride, take a look around you at the blokes (and they are all invariably blokes), look at how much moneys worth of kit they've got sat underneath them. Note what they do for a living. Observe the various well-fed paunches and retreating hairlines. Listen to the guilt-soaked Guardian-speak being spouted.
It doesn't get more 'middle class' than mountain biking I'm afraid 😉
It's a fact that mountain biking is a middle class pastime.
Home made bread, and coffee beans make me happy.
I've just eaten a chilled Double Decker. And I've got a nice mug of Yorkshire tea. I've also got some comfy shoes, and as a treat this morning I put my only designer piece of clothing I have on - some Armani socks.
Life is good.
peanut butter and jam sandwiches
marmite on toast

In my case, though I'm often the oldest, I have the same hairline as when I was 20, no paunch and a bike which cost me £150 🙂

hmmm, intriguingly, that describes only me, the rest seem quite right wing 🙂
