Was thinking about this this morning. What little luxuries have you bought yourself that didn't cost much but that you use frequently?

Mine is a decent shaving brush. It is so much nicer than the crappy one I had before.

I always tend to have a fridge full of decent cheeses. I'll always stock up so I can end the day with a glass of wine (or 7) and some cheese and biccies. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese.

Is the purpose of this thread to out the middle-class?

If so, it's doing a great job, and I bet more will be outed.

PG Tip's teabags rather than supermarket special stuff they drink here (or out of a machine)

Little lost as to the point of a shaving brush, bit like using special shaving foam instead lathered soap.. but each to there own

PG Tips? You want Yorkshire Tea.

Although I did spot a Lancashire Tea in the shops a while ago. Home Bargains I think it was 😆

Lazyfish corkscrew.

A design classic that looks good and works superbly.

Outing the middle class? Like that was neccessary?

Next time you're out on a group ride, take a look around you at the blokes (and they are all invariably blokes), look at how much moneys worth of kit they've got sat underneath them. Note what they do for a living. Observe the various well-fed paunches and retreating hairlines. Listen to the guilt-soaked Guardian-speak being spouted.

It doesn't get more 'middle class' than mountain biking I'm afraid 😉

It's a fact that mountain biking is a middle class pastime.

Home made bread, and coffee beans make me happy.

I've just eaten a chilled Double Decker. And I've got a nice mug of Yorkshire tea. I've also got some comfy shoes, and as a treat this morning I put my only designer piece of clothing I have on - some Armani socks.

Life is good.

wrong!

look at how much moneys worth of kit they've got sat underneath them. Note what they do for a living. Observe the various well-fed paunches and retreating hairlines.

In my case, though I'm often the oldest, I have the same hairline as when I was 20, no paunch and a bike which cost me £150 🙂

Listen to the guilt-soaked Guardian-speak being spouted.

hmmm, intriguingly, that describes only me, the rest seem quite right wing 🙂

It doesn't get more 'middle class' than mountain biking I'm afraid

we have all sorts from posh to common. I'll leave you to decide where I lie on that spectrum 🙂

Is reading the Guardian a pre-req for being middle class?

And those stupid corkscrews a scourge on all humanity by the way.

This is the one true design of corkscrew:
