All the good stuff is West for you on the MTB context. Lots of forests etc over Nettlebed, Stoke Row,Nuffield. Sadly, most of it is just "Ride and find it yourself". Just pick a nice day, head over those ways and see why blue/yellow posts you find and just wing it 🙂

Try Berks on Bikes, BOB for short.

Follow the bridleway behind the college field towards what used to be the Dog Pub at Peppard common, can then drop into the valley and follow another bridleway up towards Stoke row (probably full of wildflowers soon). OmOn in Stoke row pretty splint for choice. There's a nice run route up towards Nettlebed and from there you can loop back via the highmore estate / parallel to fairmile into Henley. Good descent on the North side in Lambourn (I think) woods.

Best look at a map maybe... I grew up around there so have a slightly fuzzy mental map which mostly works!

There are some good routes around Henley, lots of bridleways, but can be a mudfest.

There's a roadie club that meets at the boating museum, a friend used to ride with them.

GS Henley is the local road group.

Berks on Bikes down in Crowthorne have regular rides.

Reading CTC do two rides a week.

Im just south of Henley and ride into the Chilterns a couple times a week when it has dried out. That was from mid  March last year, but seemingly never this year! Usually cross the Thames at Hambledon lock, to pick up the trails. Loads of good stuff around there (dont need to go west per say). PM if want to meet up.

Decent mtb from Lovibonds on a Sunday morning

I moved down here last year - not got out much over the winter tho but there’s a little bit of local stuff and some “secret” stuff over towards Mapledurham

as above...out of Henley on gravel hill, up to Pack & Prime lane and at the end turn right then left onto Dog Lane to Red Lion pub.

Theres some little downhills off Peppard Common or a few other bridleway loops to either Stoke Row (right) or left to Harpsden

Lambridge Woods can be fun - and there’s a nice climb over to Hambleden off Fairmile

alternatively get the Vertebrae guide to South East England. Some decent loops there

again tho - Lovis on a Sunday at 8:30.  Email me for a beer n ride (tho I’m not too fit at the minute)
