We will be in touch
And I'm knackered. Started my Doxycycline on Wednesday and kinda figured I'd be over it all by now, but have slept through today until about an hour ago.
Anybody else had this?
I caught it on the 4th when my daughter flipped over a low barrier into a pond at a wildlife park and I cut my knee (the most minor of cuts, truly!) hoiking her out. Since then I'd been looking out for the symptoms, but then didn't see the wood for the trees as they arrived, so was later than ideal in getting to the doctors...
Most online resources talk about fever and headaches, but I had neither. Rather, I developed a cough about 10 days after exposure, had a day of aching arm muscles a few days later, and then (and which triggered the trip to the doctors) a quite spectacular rash after 15 days. Looking back, I'd also been feeling tired since the cough started.
My daughter (also now on antibiotics) has shown most of the same symptoms as me, but developed each of them a day later than me and to a much lesser extent (for example, her rash was confined to a patch on each butt cheek). She hasn't shown any sights of fatigue at all.
Hoping my current tiredness is just my body rebuilding itself after a tough week or two, rather than a sign that things have progressed towards Weil's.
Keen to hear anyone else's experiences!
