Going back for a uni reunion (DMU 2000-03) next weekend, are any of the following still open?

9Bar
Sumo
Loaf
Orange tree
Cafe Brussels
Entropy
Time
Mario's chippery (with dance floor)
the place just down from Mario's chippery
JBS Kebab house

Ideally the Blue Boar cafe for Sunday morning breakfast with prog rock soundtrack but I'd heard that'd closed down a few years ago.

- If all of the above are now closed could anyone suggest alternatives?
Thanks!

9Bar No, though I think something has taken over the site now.
Sumo Was shut last time we were down there around 2 months ago, but I think it is still trading.
Loaf Shut
Orange tree Still open.
Cafe Brussels Still open
Entropy Changed its name / owners.
Time Shut
Mario’s chippery Shut.
the place just down from Mario’s chippery. Mobius? Shut.
JBS Kebab house Never done kebabs, so dont know.

Do you get the idea that the west end is dying? It is dead there now. 10 years ago it was buzzing on a Friday night, I can go down there now, and know I can get a parking place easily.
The Blue Boar is a real ale pub/micro, Millstone lane. I would have said Brood on King St., but it shut last month. The Black Horse on Braunstone Gate is still open, and gives a decent pint. Theres a pub nr DMU, in a corner mill building next to the canal Mill Ln/Eastern Boul., it;s decent there.

The Blue Boar I said above is a pub, not a cafe. Thats gone!
The only place for decent breakfasts, are the greasy spoon cafe under the rail bridge on Narborough road (not the big old bridge near to DMU sports hall, that has gone.), or Barceloneta on Queens Rd, which gives a great breakfats, albeit from 10am.;
Barceloneta

The Blue Boar was open in December - it’s gone now? Criterion on the corner used to be a great pub but now shite. The Globe is prob one if the best there now. If you like ale you might be better off going to the Organ Grinder, Needle and Pin and White Hart a 10 min train ride in Loughborough...

Thanks, I'm pretty shocked tbh, I lived off Narb road for most of my degree, everywhere on Braunston gate was heaving on a Friday / Saturday, albeit 15 years ago...

With that in mind, if you could suggest any other options it'd be appreciated!
Pubs with a decent pint would be good

M-Coast had the legendary 'Buy 1, Get 3 Free' Monday night drinks offer.
