Is it worth it? Is it better than Windsor? Do you get to play with lots of Lego or is it just a theme park?
Pfft! I was expecting pictures of a scale model of Denmark made entirely of lego, with close ups of the detail on the parliament building. What a massive anti-climax Molly
Don't know, but if you are going to go abroad don't mess about. Go to the one in California. It is the only one that has a [url= http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Legoland+California,+Legoland+Drive,+Carlsbad,+CA,+United+States&hl=en&ll=33.12588,-117.311518&spn=0.003289,0.013937&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=10.497926,28.54248&oq=legoland+cali&t=h&hq=Legoland+California,+Legoland+Drive,&hnear=Carlsbad,+San+Diego,+California,+United+States&z=17&layer=c&cbll=33.12588,-117.311516&panoid=K7oTi9-SvYmtmMRGTKXySw&cbp=11,3.65,,0,-0.21 ]Lego Minifigure in Google Street View[/url] so is obviously the only one they take seriously 😉
Went there when I was 6 (1990) and loved every minute of it.
Based on my hazy recollections – I was eleven – it was pretty good and there was a bit with huge piles of bricks to play with. No technic stuff which was a disappointment at the time.
There was some half decent small scale rollercoastery stuff and unsurprisingly lots of impressive things to see built with Lego. I vaguely remember piloting a lego boat around a canal system.
The driving school was ace and despite being pulled over by the local police for driving on the left I was given my Legoland photo drivers licence to take away with me 😀
I went 3 years ago an loved the model village bit. Didn't go anywhere near any of the rides which were mostly aimed at young children. Never been to the Windsor one to compare.
I went about 15 years ago. I preferred it to Windsor, by a mile. It's expensive, the hotel was very expensive and upmarket. Probably changed quite a bit. Billund closed up by 8:30, and there ain't much round there. Unless your over there, it's a long way to travel.
