Not a Leeds fan but would much rather have seen Leeds make it through the play offs. What now for Leeds?

Two scummy teams fighting it out in a dire game of shite football.

Hope Millwall get their hearts broken at Wembley.

No one likes Leeds OR Millwall (because of the fans mostly) but can MK or S****horpe stop the Lions going up ? Let's hope so - trouble is the first division will have to put up with them AGAIN !!!

Lifelong Leeds fan and gutted - same as a fan of any other club would be in a similar situation! Thought the game tonight was much more exciting than the first leg. Well done to Millwall - their goalie was outstanding tonight.

All the Div 1 teams will be pleased as they will get a full house at least once next season!

Marching on Together!

I absolutely detest Leeds United

Why?

dirty spine less Leeds

Go on then - why are we dirty or spineless?

Two scummy teams

Why are either team scummy?

(because of the fans mostly)

And why are the fans any worse than other teams?

It seems to me that every one of those comments is directed at football violence (on and off the pitch) from some 25+ years ago. The last time I recall any real fan trouble involving Leeds was Brighton v Leeds and that must have been 15 years ago.

And what Leeds players are dirty? Can any of you actually name any current Leeds players?

This football hating really stuns me. Always has.

I don't know Hora? Was there this season?

League One
Highest Gate - 34,214 Leeds

Championship
Highest Gate - 33,079 Derby

Premiership
Average Attendance - 35529

So Leeds' highest gate was highest than the Championship's highest gate and only just under the Premiership's average.

Not to shabby really ehh?

How many years can the gate receipts continue under Bates?

For the record I watched my first ever football game on the stands at Leeds United at the age of 7 in the snow!

Who can possibly answer that question? But they have been steadily increasing under Bates (albeit due to sudden decreases because some refused to pay ticket increases at first which were needed to help the team out of the mud).

I find it helps to support a club but be able to bring yourself to enjoy watching the game. I have particularly enjoyed watching Manyuu in the Big Cup this season but just the same I can happily watch Sunday teams playing in parks.

🙂

High gate attendances for 3rd Div football, whilst initially pointing to fan loyalty, in actual fact proves that many Yorkshiremen are thick as mince and don't give their famlies enough of the Giro money.

So actual facts are spun round to become some kind of regional xenophobia?

After that particularly dim statement I could be drawn into drawing similar stereotypes, but I shall not.

Love and peace, I am going to do some work.

I didn't say all, as most of the English side of my family are from Yorkshire, thankfully none are Leeds fans though. Strangely the only Leeds fan in my family (brother in law) comes from Nottingham. I'd call him a glory support but......

Just gotta pick ourselves up and try again next year. Hopefully for a change we'll have a stable team next season, no manager changes at Christmas when we were mid table and go up automatically. Everyones talking about players leaving but realistically, only Richardson, Marques and Douglas are out of contract this summer and I'm not fussed if any of them leave. Keep the rest of the side, Father Christmas invest a little in a couple of new players (right back and another DECENT striker who can come off the bench and make an impact) and we're laughing all the way to the Championship.

Atmosphere inside ER last night was electric though. I've never been inside when its been like that before... ever! As for 30,000 gates under Bates, I don't see why not. We've been getting them pretty regular since he took over the club even since we dropped into League 1.

dirty spine less Leeds

Go on then - why are we dirty or spineless?

Going from past experience and the worst occasion was walking out of The Old show ground after beating Leeds 4:2 in a FA cup replay I was attacked by a A Leeds fan who tried to kick me in the face but missed, I squared up to him and was set upon by several of his fellow fans and I got a good old pasting including having my head stamped on.

Put me off football for a while but started watching again in the ninetys.

Dirty Leeds
I,ve seen David Batty a few times and he did his best to keep the tag rolling along 😕

S****horpe United,Everton and Scotland Supporter. 😀

Nowt against you Whites fans on here though

David Batty

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't he retire from football 5 years ago and even before he retired barely get a game due to a series of injuries? Wasn't, in fact, the last time he played regular football in around 2000?

Go on, name a current Leeds player who is 'dirty'.

As for your getting beaten up by a Leeds supporter, again that could happen to anyone at any ground by any supporter. I am sorry for you that it happened - I am very fortunate to have never witnessed or be involved in any football violence either home or away. And I regularly drink in the bars around the ground too.

In fact, the only time I ever feel intimidated is when there is a large police presence at railway stations and the like when I am left feeling like it is all about to kick off when all I want to do is go to the match/home.

Like I said on the other Sad Leeds thread

Whats have Leeds United and Shahid Malik got in common?

Two things, both have had a good time without paying for it, and now the chickens have come home to roost.

In both cases a well deserved roosting too IMHO

And thats also the answer to the two questions why do people "hate" Leeds?and not trust Politician's?

I'm amazed how many supposed "nice" people on here turn into rabid monsters as soon as mention is made of a football team that they don't like.

MOT. Next season...

Really and truly, Leeds fans shoon't get all indignant and upset, at the 'Dirty' label. Don Revie's lot kicked, spat and punched their way to a league title, treated a far greater manager like shit, and revelled in their 'hard men' image. as for the fans, the Leeds United Service Crew weren't exactly choir boys. I find the claims that Leeds are 'victims' of 'hate' laughable, really.

Then, in more recent years, we've seen all sorts of dodgy financial shenanigans, with Ridsdale and Very Terribles, and players being involved in nasty racist attacks on members of the public. And as for the claim above, that they've not been naughty boys for a while, that's just a ****ing joke.

So, stop yer crying, Leeds. You deserve the 'dirty' tag; it's up to you, as fans, and your club, to rebuild your image. It will take time. Millwall are still seen as bonehead scum, even though they've done loads to try and shake off that image. Liverpool still get called 'Murderpool', by ignorant dickheads.

Don't try and pretend that your club is pure and innocent. It's not.
