Possibly my most STW post ever .. I am renovating a property and flat mounted LED light Panels in theory look a great way to go for kitchen and bathroom lighting both on both price and aesthetics. however i have never seen any in the flesh and can only find examples online with Lumens and sizing that confuse the Sh*t out of me.
Any real world experience how do they cast light Kitchen is 2.67m X 3.49m if that helps .

They are pretty good light wise. Nice spread. I've only used them commercially and I'd be wary of them making a space look a bit office like but I suppose it depends how you mount them
I'm interested in this too. The downlighters in our bathroom are rubbish, not very bright, not a good spread of light, and seem very energy-inefficient.

Replaced tubes and are so much brighter and clearer.
Got a shop full of them, look great on a suspended ceiling. Wouldn't put them in my kitchen though - unless it was a very industrial vibe London pad or something.
These would be great for my garage. currently it has one single lamp in the middle, and all the stuff at which I would like to look is around the edge and I cast a shadow on everything!
Assume you can simply wire a load of them into a ceiling rose?

enough said, don't put them in your house, they are far too bright and just wrong. You can buy flush fitting 200mm dia led fittings the thickness of a plasterboard ceiling that look much better and a couple in a smaller room would be more than sufficient.
