Hi all,

Looking for a fairly smart, dark brown, messenger style bag for work, to go with a suit. Will sometimes be used to carry a laptop.

As sad as it sounds, but something similar to what Mike Ross in Suits wears.

I've looked around M&S, Next, Debenhams etc etc today, no luck.

Can anyone recommend any shops that might have something suitable?

I would buy online, but ideally want it by this weekend.

Budget of around £40, but can be stretched I guess.

Seen bags like these which are nice;

Ta, Duane.

I was looking for wifey type presents and noticed that Radley had some man bags on their website. Looked nice enough.

Oops, sorry, just seen your budget....

I think you'll struggle to beat that Amazon price. For £40 you're looking at some nasty synthetic thing.

Nice half and half leather/waxed canvas bag from White Stuff?

Reduced to £42...dunno if there's a branch near you though.

Not leather, but Carradice do a musette at £40...

Thanks for the replies all.

Tempted by a Visconti, but if spending that much want to see one first. Also read a few reports of the colour rubbing off onto lighter coloured clothing?

Reckon any of these shops will have anything suitable?

Genuinely river island had some in the sale at half price and there were some proper man bags in Zara last Saturday!

Take a look at Scaramanga. I got a really nice satchel for my wife or Christmas. Very nice quality.

😆
A career change may well be on the cards if I don't shift this glass back of mine!
