Hi,
My son wants to learn the guitar over the summer holidays. Any good websites or books to try before we spend money on lessons?
He's got grade 5 on the French Horn so he can read music.
Thanks,
R
Look at http://www.guitarnoise.com/
David Hodge does some superb tuition and it's all free.
Well recommended.

This lad is self taught! Picked up a guitar in his teens and now touring the world!
So it's easy?
That's good. What, 2-3 weeks, then fame and lots of money!
Thanks,
R
cough.. my 7 yr olds been at it for two years with school and the local councils music service they say shes top of her class and cant play a note... is it that easy really??
You need 'the gift'
Here's another self taught genius:

And! added bonus he also proves there is no requirement for 'looks'!
Lessons, there's no substitute...
but Justin guitar Muke's post, is about the best online one I've seen.
Teddy Bare, was that from 'Sniffin Glue'?
The instruction manual that launched a whole herd of punk bands. Happy days.

Indeed it was... Yes, they were - got me motivated, anyway!
