Surprised no one has mentioned this yet:

I don't have any children so might have to buy it "for my Dad". 😎

Amazing. Been waiting for this for ages as it's been rumoured but first time I've seen pics. Some of the things people have been doing with the limited coaster parts from existing sets e.g. Joker Manor have been pretty cool. Available to order in 2 days as well! Take my money!!!

Never really understood the Lego pricing on their Creator edition sets - £300 is just crazy. Sure there's a big design cost overhead and tooling for unique pieces but still seems madness to me. Would make great presents for kids but at that price it's mostly going to be adult collectors buying it

just seen it's fully mechanised as well, whereas with the other sets people have been having to bodge it themselves.

If you work out the price per piece I doubt there's a premium with the big sets. Personally I'd rather have 1 set like this that's really interesting/different/cool than 10 planes/cars/etc that just end up getting broken up for parts after a while.

Joker Manor is very cool, I'd definitely get it if I saw it reduced, but at only £50 more this new coaster set is a no-brainer IMO.

Prefer the Technic sets but this looks cool.

£100 is my upper limit for a set though

Might treat myself to this Rally Car

The price of the roller coaster is actually reasonable, because the set is *huge*.  No unique pieces either, although a few incredibly rare pieces I'm sure.

For reference:

https://brickset.com/sets/10261-1/Roller-Coaster.  4124 pieces at £300, so 7.3 pence per piece.

Compare with the new Ultimate Y-Wing:  https://brickset.com/sets/75181-1/Y-wing-Starfighter.  1967 pieces at £170, so 8.6p/piece.

Randomly picked City set:  https://brickset.com/sets/60140-1/Bulldozer-Break-In.  561 pieces at £65, so 11.6p/piece.

The roller coaster is great value per-brick, especially considering the fact that IT'S A ROLLER COASTER.

despite going for the free delivery option rather than the £21 48hr courier, it has just turned up 2 days after ordering, direct from Denmark by the looks of the DHL Nordic stickers on the box! 😎

The box is ****ing massive. I cannot overstate how stoked I am. Really hoping it pisses it down all weekend now!!
