Has anyone on here ever walked or cycled the kungsleden trail?

Thinking up my next bikepacking adventure and was wondering if this 'trekking route' is at all rideable...

Thanks

If that's the Swedish route from Abisko then I'd ask at http://happymtb.org/forum/ as they'll have a better idea.

Not currently though, unless you've a fat bike and a liking for very cold conditions

I am sure I saw something on Happy about it. There are other long distance trails in Sweden as well. Maybe look at the högakusten leden as well http://highcoastsweden.com/. or bohusleden

There are actually long distance trails all over Sweden with a free shelter/bothy with wood and water about every 10km. Might do a little bike trek next year with my kids.

Bit like Scotland but bleaker and huge mozzys.

Thanks for the replies.

It would definitely be a summer trip, but just thought I'd weigh up some options... Free bothy every 10km sounds incredible! And also the need to carry all water is eliminated... Great! But Mosquitos! Crap! I went to fort William to watch the DH World Cup a few years ago and got eaten alive, I fail to see how it could be worse than Scotland...

Cheers!

Mosquitoes in Scandinavia are fine unless you stop riding.
