Having flown various 2 line power kites for years I fancy getting in a bit deper without getting stupid. The kites I have flown have been 2mtrs. I fancy something that is going to make me skid about and I am guessing that it will be 4 lines, but how big? What are the good web sites that have the right information?
Ohh I am 16st if that has any effect on things.

Cheers

Paul

ozone kites apparently have a good range for progression. 2nd hand info, i just have an 2 line imp but it's nicely put together, was a present from brother who has larger ozone kites.

I've been out of it for a few years, so couldn't tell you what the latest and greatest is though. I just love my Blade 3, 3m (lifts me plenty as I'm only 57kgs!)

Something like a PKD buster, Ozone Imp or HQ Beamer are great fun to fly & well priced-even the smaller ones can drag you around quite a bit in a brisk wind.I would say 4-5 metres for your weight. Don't be tempted by anything that is designed for lifting rather than traction-it may drag you up & dump you unceremoniously if you sren't used to it. Use kite killers too-they enable you to let go of the handles if you get in trouble & depower the kite without losing the lines. Have a look at powerkiteshop for bargains & they are always willing to give advice.

Flexis are ace! If you think bikes are expensive, just get ready for kites...!

Dont overlook Radsails. A cheap 4m Radsail can be picked up for as little as £50 and will give you a cheap insight into 4 lines.

Ive had a couple of 2.4m Radsail Evos and they are nice little kites and provided enough power to get me and a friend going on boards.

Racekites is a top forum for getting an idea about kit as users can post their own reviews in their extensive review section. Kitecrowd has a more active "sales" section but there is a high bellend quota present (had a few buyers get arsey because I wouldnt sell gear to them for peanuts)

I've a 3m (I think) Ozone Samurai. It's just verging on the edge of 'too big' for skudding about but a metric shedload of fun.

OH has a Flexifoil Bullet (2.5m iirc) which is -ace-. We've also got a 5m Beamer for sale if you're interested. It's a beast, but pulls like a train.
