I'm looking to buy a tablet for juniors 5th birthday.

Seems to be a few choices, kurio, kidzstar, lexibook etc

Anyone had any experiences with these?

I've found a few reviews for the kurio which suggest it's not well made or reliable, not much on the others

Our two have got Leappad Explorers. Definately on the 'educational' side games wise and quite american...ie can you spot the sqwerl instead of squirrel but they love them.

Takes surprisingly good photos and videos, plenty of memory and the little downloadable games that cost £5-10 are great value if you measure it by how long they are quiet on long car journeys! We're even allowed to listen to our own music now...
The paint program and the pets also keep them happy for ages.
They take AA batteries and they seem to last for ages... we use rechargables and also have AC adaptors for home use.

We and the kids are all happy with them.
