Not so sure 'crafty' is the right word, brazen is more appropriate. I mean using something that only could have been provided by a state (and therefore authorised by the state) is basically Russia not giving a damn about any fallout as they know the West is pretty powerless to act against them (ref: Crimea).
Given the agents were captured on CCTV, their movements easily traced and it took the Russian government blatantly obstructing the investigation to effectively end it then it's hardly James Bond stuff.
I watched it and came away with admiration for Litvinenko. he must have (had) some massive balls.
