No she had to have her hair shaved off for a major brain operation to help with her epilepsy.

Shame they didn't tweak some of the toxic settings on her tourettes while they were in there.

To be honest i struggle to disagree with any of that, she talks a lot of sense...a lot of people think those things, she just has the balls to say it.

Just be careful some people disagree with what she says

Think this is fair?

Outraged Londoners are calling for Katie Hopkins to be investigated by police over a string of tweets she posted after a suspected terrorist was detained in Whitehall.

The controversial columnist sparked outcry when she posted a message on Twitter which read: “Explosion in France, shooting at a German hospital, knife attack in London.

"And Ramadan has not yet begun."

She added: “Without food these sods get nasty”.

You only have to look at twitter to see there are a lot of people who agree with the woman. Not surprising to see one on here.

Fair enough.

I suppose if you're the type of person that hates gingers, fat people, tattoos, breastfeeding, Scottish and the elderly, but strongly approves of Ebola, dead children and genocide then she probably fills your niche quite nicely.

She's still not someone I'd want lecturing my children in school.

On children's names:

a name is a shortcut of finding out what class that child comes from and makes me ask, ‘Do I want my children to play with them?’ There’s a whole set of things that go with children like that and that’s why I don’t like those sorts of children. ‘Hi, this is my daughter Charmaine’. I hear: ‘Hi, I am thick and ignorant.’’

There was a hilarious adjunct to this (I'm paraphrasing):
Hopkins: I don't like children named after place names, it shows a lack of class
Presenter: Isn't your daughter called India?

Blanket media ignoring of her and she'll soon shut up. The boys school wouldn't even consider getting such a witless evil harpie in to speak to the kids and any school that does has real problems, what next. Teaching KKK in RE?

Potentially yes: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/1/schedule

Would you say the same if/when it was Abu Hamza al-Masri that people wanted charged?

They are thick

49.9999999% of the electorate are of less than average intelligence

I wouldn't want her in the school, the subjects might be worth a debate but she can't demonstrate that she can manage a discussion without turning it into proselytising

the obvious question which no-one has asked is who is paying for it, nothing is "free" there are costs that are covered by someone

Would I put her in front of a bunch of primary school kids? No
A group of reasonably well informed and opinionated 6th formers? - lets just say I'd be interested to see the results

Posted 2 hours ago #

Pretty much this. I wouldn't want her to be a guest speaker at my kids' school as they are 9 and 6 and hopefully we have brought them up to respect their elders to a certain extent and they are still (rightly I think) naïve in the ways of the world. I don't want to have to break the news to them that not all their elders are worthy of their respect.

If her speech was about how to monetise a phenomenon that has no intrinsic merit of its own (trolling for publicity) it might open some older kids eyes about the depths that it is possible to sink to in search of fame/notoriety.

"Hatey Plopkins".

Loving that. 😆

Racism is prejudice based on culture as much as skin colour, and islamophobia clearly is

That's bollocks. Phobia means an irrational fear. A justified fear of islam exists despite irrational denials to the contrary. Open debate on islamic doctorine is essential and should not be prevented.

You can't change your skin colour, but you chose your religion so the comparison is essentially flawed.

All of those quotes display a huge lack of understanding behind the basic issues involved. And you have just agreed with all of them. Even the stupid ginger hating one. Are you one of the ignorant, bitter, underachieving malcontents, desperate to find someone else to blame, that keeps this women in business? Sad.

This...people seem scared stiff of any debate around islam and the cultural differences...the debate needs to happen but its easier to shout 'racist' at someone than tackle a touchy subject.

You wish.

I like my life, nice long career helping people in the NHS, own house, great partner of 10years, good social life, good family life, plenty of hobbies etc etc...just a normal bloke who doesnt share the 'immigration is great' or 'isnt islam wonderful' views of other people in this country...there are plenty of us about.

Shame most people get the basic facts wrong and confuse a lot of issues.

Living as an immigrant in another country I find that people treat me and my white english speaking immigrant mates very differently to immigrants who don't quite look the same. It gives me an interesting perspective to look at things from.

Q: for Deviant - are you a practicing Christian?

Any discussion of religion should be from a position of knowledge about said religion rather than cherry-picked from scare stories in the Daily Wail et-al.

A lot of the media commentary (which Ms Hopkins panders to) on Islam is like confusing the Arch Bish of Canterbury with the Westboro Baptists.

See the thing is, you say:

the debate needs to happen but its easier to shout 'racist' at someone than tackle a touchy subject.

But then say you agree with someone who calls for a "final solution", wants gunboats to fire on refugees, and admires Ebola as an effective way to control foreign populations.

That isn't "debate" or "tackling a touchy subject".

That's being a vile hate-filled vitriolic troll.

just a normal bloke who doesnt share the 'immigration is great' or 'isnt islam wonderful' views of other people in this country...there are plenty of us about.

I wouldn't say I 100% buy into either of those sentiments either. Nothing in life is so clean cut and you'd be an naive not to recognise that there are issues inherent in both of them (as there are with most things).

But it's a pretty long walk from there to applauding dead children and helping Ms Hopkins fire up the gas chambers.

Personally I don't think 'immigration' is wholly 'great', or that Islam is wholly 'wonderful'. But, I don't feel the need to totally condemn them either. There is a middle ground, which you would understand I think if you could appreciate the bigger picture.

Q: for Deviant - are you a practicing Christian?

No, i dislike all religion...it has no place in modern society and certainly no place in influencing law, animal slaughter, medical treatment etc etc..

Re. the final solution comment, i understand how people interpreted that but i read it the day after the terrorist attack and thought it was simply a message to get tough on islamist terrorism and shore up the immigration system to prevent any further militants coming in...i dont think anybody honestly thought she meant marching all muslims in this country to gas chambers..that would be ridiculous.

Really? What about using Ebola as a weapon?
Where do you stand on killing dementia patients?
Do you respect a woman's right to feed her baby?

Can't be arsed reading three pages, but I'd say let her do it on three conditions

1: All children are given as much sugar and/or caffeine as they can handle beforehand.

2: Said children are informed that they can do whatever they want in the next hour.

3: Teachers leave

Oh come on! She is a lot of things, but she isn't daft.

No one with any inkling of European history uses the term "final solution" lightly, especially when talking about issues of race or religion.

I'm not sure it's essential and anyway Hopkins isn't the best choice for "debate". She falls into the "rant" category.

I like my life, nice long career helping people in the NHS

What is it about the following factors:
* working in the NHS,
* having the propensity to tell everyone listening about how much that they help other people,
* and, being on STW

that adds up to some individuals being unable to accept common sense ?

Your 'common sense' and my common sense are different thats all...despite what a lot of the media tell you its ok to have differing views on things, it doesnt make somebody a bad person, they just have a different opinion.

I said it would be interpreted badly...but only an idiot would think she literally meant marching muslims to the gas chambers...

..the rest of knew she was on about getting tough on fanatical islam and immigration.

well I'd say you have been played there, she has her audience and they hate islam, they have no idea what it is or how or works but they hate it.
Just remember that most of the EU attackers were from the country they attacked - most were born there.

Have a look at the list of Hopkins quotes on the previous page that you agreed with, and tell me again that you are not a 'bad person'. Actually, 'bad person' is the wrong term, ignorant is more apt.

It also occurs to me that we should not be discussing the publicity whore at all. If we ignored her she might go away and stop influencing the weak minded malcontents that think she 'has the balls to say it like it is'. She doesn't really believe this stuff, she is just trying to make money out of people with deep seated blind hatred. There are better ways to discuss these issues.
