I quite liked that one. It was a small leather Oakley one.

So, time for a new wallet. What's good in the world of wallets? Don't mind paying for quality, I just don't want to pay through the nose for the name.

Almost certainly from somewhere where people aren't judged by the size of their wallets, yes.

Sounds like you've been taken to the cleaners over this one

Best source of wallets is TK Maxx. Last one I got there was an Oliver Sweeney one for peanuts. Still going strong. I also bought another one as a spare, as I tend to wear them out in the back pocket.

Got mine from beerbabe, it's made out of old inner tubes. Which also means that it smells awesome.

Were you flush with cash before you liquidated your assets?

Mullberry, treat yourself.

Partly posted tongue on cheek but with a degree of seriousness. I bought one on a whim years ago and it just won't die despite the fact that I quite fancy a new one. They're about half the list price in the outlet in Bicester.

I have a Bellroy one, not really impressed the colour faded after one day in my jeans pocket. Leather is very, very thin. I'm not expecting it to last - I bought it in March.

I guess it depends what you want it for OP? TK Maxx is a good bet, you can buy online too.

Agree with lunge. But, Pickett is my choice. Not available at Bicester.

Bellroy Slim Sleeve - I've not washed mine, it's 2 years old and is still great.

I love the discipline of having limited space for cards - Pets@Home loyalty card now stays at home.

I've been looking at those bellroy ones. The only thing that puts me off is that I work in Sheffield and it looks like you support the wrong wendyball team.

They're about half the list price in the outlet in Bi-fold-cester.

Surely?

Got myself a Bellroy last year, nice and slim and fits nice in my pocket. Had enough space for the essentials which is what I wanted rather than where I've got all sorts of crap in it!

So it went through the wash, why should that mean a new one then? Carefully dried out in the airing cupboard it ought to be fine, with some kitchen towel between sections so it doesn't stick together.
I mean, it's not a smartphone, is it.

It's drying out quite nicely actually but the lining has torn. It's fifteen years old so doesn't owe me anything. Just wish Oakley still did the same one. I'd just buy another if they did.

I accidentally washed £760 in twenty pound notes in my work trousers last weekend. (customer payment I had forgotten about, in a pocket I rarely use so didn't check)

Realised after about 40 minutes or the wash, and spent the next 20 minutes peering through the glass expecting to see them flying around in an expensive mush.

They were totally fine to my great relief. Hardly even wet.

+1
Plus it'll survive the next time you wash it too

Ive had a nice little Pocket Wallet for a few years. Only 2 pockets for essential cards, you may need to rationalise all the stuff you carry but much cheaper than Bellroy

Oh, right, fairy nuff.
I had a nice Oakley wallet, a sort of carbon fibre weave, which I liked, but I had a habit of stuffing it full of all sorts of rubbish, and cramming small change into the little inside pocket, until the zip on the pocket broke.
I decided that was enough and bought a Jimi Wallet, which forced me to carry a bare minimum of cards, some folding money, and the shrapnel I carry in a small leather drawstring pouch; makes life easier, and I no longer sit on an enormous bulky lump in my back pocket
