Picked up a PS4 on a Black Friday deal.
£200 with CoD WW2, GT and Hidden Agenda.
What games are "must haves" of the last couple of years? Looking for stuff I can pick up cheap s/h.
Any suggestions?

That will basically pass the time until red dead redemption 2 comes out next year

If you like story-driven games, one of the best games I've played in recent years has been Life Is Strange.

I bought a PS4 over the weekend too, very tempted to buy the latest Wolfenstein which seems to be available at a few places for just over £20 at the moment.
I have been enjoying Battlefield for the last year or so.
Last of Us is pretty good (I think they remastered it for PS4).

It's great, I loved it. If fixes a lot of niggles from earlier games, the two protagonists are brilliant and the whole thing is a hoot to play. And it looks stunning.
I assume the the "Paris one" you mean Unity. aside from the tedious first one (and Origins which I only picked up last week), Unity is the only one I haven't completed. It didn't really click with me for some reason. I should revisit it at some point.
Metal gear 5 is very good. Battlefield 4 also great.
I play battlefield, GTA and Destiny mostly depending on what has the latest release to entertain me.
Destiny 1 will be cheap now and Destiny 2 has a DLC coming out on 5th of December so will be busy.

I basically bought a PS4 to play Fallout 4. Horizon: Zero Dawn and Uncharted 4 have been recommended to me when I finish FO4.

I see your Skyrim and raise you the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt + the expansions, that'll keep you going til spring, incredible game, one of the best ever made in my honest opinion.
That said, I'm currently playing MGS 5 Phantom Pain, my first ever MGS game and it is rather good fun.
Dirt 4 is really good if you're in to racing / rally games. I quite like 'Steep' too, it's a ski/ board game but can use wingsuit and glide too.
Rocket League FTW. Hours have been lost to this game. Probably only in 30 minute stints though.

What about the original PS4 wolfenstein (the new order?). That was very fun and is probably available for £5
Another vote for The Last of Us.
Also enjoyed Infamous: Second Son. Can be played as good or evil, both giving different experiences.
Both old now, so should be pretty cheap to pick up at CEX.

I found W3 a lot more fun than Skyrim. Skyrim is epic, don't get me wrong, but it's so very dry. I found it got dull after a while.

Rocket league is ace. I had it early on when it was free and it's got better and better over time.
Any killer deals on PS4's still around? Price seems fixed at £200 with one new(ish) game pretty much everywhere all year round.
CoD WW2 is appealing to me, last 2 in the Dirt series, and Uncharted, really liked the PS3 titles.

Last of Us - Best single player game ever made.
GTAV - ridiculously good (and quite long) single player. Online is brilliant but TBH I'd hate to start playing from Level 1 and no money when pretty much everyone else has been playing for 4 years, owns 20 cars, 3 appartments and runs multiple buisinesses.
Pay the extra for PS+ and you'll get a couple of free games every month and discounts in the store.

I remember being incredibly disappointed with the last version they released on PS3 (funny enough, the main reason I bought a PS3)
It's been donkeys years since I played a genuinely great driving sim
I'm on Xbox but as said Destiny 2, GTA (not that bad grinding if you've got help plus there may be deals, costs less to buy it with a megalodon shark card than the game on its own on Xbox), Rocket League (cross platform too) and Fallout 4 are all worth playing.

no. it's already the best GT to date and once even more of the (free) DLC rolls out it's only going to get better.
I've been playing it pretty solidly since launch and currently have over 100 hrs on it. The bloke who's slating it doesn't have it.
Best £18 you'll spend if you have a ps4 and are into highly competitive clean online racing.
I haven’t slated it, I haven’t bought it as I feared it would flop it has. A half finished game which they’ve done before was my biggest fear, that’s one thing it is slated for but at £18 not much to lose.

The only game that's tempted me to buy a PS4 is "[b]The Last Guardian[/b]".
I loved its predecessors Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

Dying Light for zombie bashing and a good story.
Think I paid £50 for GTS (deluxe edition) preorder. It’s ace even with a pad. (I prefer the car physics to Project cars 1&2 and assetto Corsa. I have a steering wheel and a VR unit waiting to be unpacked at home (collateral damage from being stuck in hospital) so I’m expecting to have my mind blown!

I'm in the same boat. Or not! Feel pretty bad about it as PS4 was a gift, but the enterprising spirit and countless hrs it would take to earn a virtual yacht, and 60-car garage would probably earn me a real boat if spent otherwise engaged in accruing real money.
And with that said...onwards and upwards.
PS I lost my one regular real-life MTB-buddy to a PS4. Be warned 🙁
A lot of those with oodles of cash use hack accounts from PS3 to boost them as the PS3 software was cracked, they them log in with their PS4 and are rich.
I was offered to have this done by m? nephews friend but I refused.

Re GT Sport, only played it for a couple of hours so far but seems to be worth £20 and the racing so far appears to be uncannily clean. Not sure how they can justify the extreme development times compared to other driving sims though.

erm... it's the UKs' best selling game this week. As was it on it's launch week.
Making unfounded digs at a game you've not played seems really strange. Are you holding a grudge from GT6? I didn't really get on with that either.
Anyway.. I'm absolutely loving it. So much so I just got home from Currys with a G29 wheel/pedal/stick (£154 on a black friday deal. Hurry if you want one at that price). Had been in a bit of a lul as far as gaming goes since losing interest in GTAV (and I do have the 60 car garage etc. legit) Most of my old GTA crew are now on GTsport and the online racing is fiercly competitive (but clean) in our lobbies/tournaments

I actually dug out my G27 steering wheel to day and looked up conversion kits to get it to work with my PS4 as at £18 it worth a punt.
COD is still the top selling game this week then Fifa and then at half the price GT sport.
Still if you’re enjoying that’s all that matters.
GTsport and Destiny 1 or 2 for me..I'm enjoying the online racing on GT way more than I thought I would.
Santa is bringing one for my lad, Star Wars Battlefront II , GT Sport, Overwatch, Wipeout, Minecraft and some other free quiz type game that was bundled with the machine. Will probably ask Santa for the Last Guardian for me as well, though may wait for the sales. What's the new Ratchet & Clank like?
My lad wants Ark Survival but I'm concerned about the age rating, (he's 9), any thoughts?
Black Friday was actually pretty good this year.
About GTAV It deliberately rewards alternative ways of achieving missions which means it needn't be a chore grind and loads of us top players are happy to share mission rewards with noobs who have avoided being gung-ho dicks.

GWurk, I also took advantage of that G29 deal, so combined with a Black Friday VR, my living room will be as close to driving a Ferrari as I’ll ever get!

Few issues with the Ps4, can't get audio playback via the av system on blu trays. Seems to be a common issue though all the answers rely on an optical out setting that the slim does not have...
Also how do you set up a sub account?
Online help is crap so far, quite pissed off at Sony as the Ps3 was great for blu-ray and multi media... A can't have bothered plugged in...
Oh and overwatch needs a 20gb download, one upset boy tonight as he waits for it to download...
