We will be in touch
just bought a job-lot of camping kit from EBay and wanting to try a few long weekends away in the north of England to start with.
So - anyone git any recommendations for nice sites in the Dales, North East Coast etc? Preferably places suitable for two 5 yr olds...

There's a nice site in Dent if sloping a fair bit
Keld has a nice family friendly site (the one with yurts)
Tell you what there's probably gonna be a few haters but the haven site north of filey is spot on. Brilliant facilities, superb clean shower/toilet block swimming pool, "club" entertainment, and dirt cheap with electric if you book out of school hols. I dreaded it but look beyond possible preconceptions and it's a great introduction to camping due to how it's set up.
Oh and to add we went last year to that site for the first time after 8 years of camping so have been to a few places.
Gordale Scar campsite is almost as nice as Pembrokeshire!
Goredale is great, got a bit rowdy when I was there, not huge fun with sleeping kids but the location in amazing
My kids loved it here, although I was less keen http://goldenhillfarm.co.uk, but it was family orientated rather than rowdy
If you like Roman stuff, like walls and museums and soldiers and re-enactments, looky here:

Blummin' great to be honest.
