Having just been to the cinema, this ^ is still a fair assessment

"I love dogs I've always loved dogs"

I nearly (ahem) digitally acquired this for tonight's viewing.

But it looked crap so I didn't bother.

So it's "The Lives Of Others" instead.

Watched at the cinema last week with no expectations or background knowledge of the film. It was terrible, and I like science fiction.

Still - I took a look at the trailer too and... God I hate CGI. I see it explains crop circles though.

The Lives of Others is an excellent film.

I have a distinct dislike of CGI, especially when it's all through the film

Sorry but I'm out, looks like any other formulaic Hollywood space tosh

I like a good science fiction but it has to be something original

I agree with Jools. A good film does not need too much CGI. The most lush aspect visually was Mila Kunis.

Jupiter Ascending was made for people like me i.e. have read the books and texts the Wachowskis have.
I give it 8/10. It was like a documentary.

Mila Kunis is pretty average. I have had better.

Doesn't look very realistic. People can't fly - anybody knows that 🙁

Lol. The Wachowskis have made precisely two films that aren't complete and utter tripe. Bound and the Matrix. Everything else has been shocking. The success of the Matrix gave them too much autonomy and allowed their egos to run riot.

What's up with all of their voices in that trailer? Was the casting requirement for those with some mastery of:
1. 'Strained and unlikely'
2. 'Overbearingly earnest and insincere'
3. 'Twuntinational twang'?
