We will be in touch
Just a quick one to praise customer service. Washing machine dies after unknown numkber of years. Neither of us can remember when we bought it and can't find any receipts for it. It's a John Lewis own brand jobby so being cheeky I phone them up and they find when we bought it and that we took out an extended warranty! Happy days dead washing machine is now under warranty, panic and washing machine shopping averted.
Isnt it fab when customers are valued and helped.
Cheers to John and Chloe who were fab on the phone.
Few years back I ordered a new washing machine from John Lewis. Went back to shop a week later as they still hadn't contacted me about a delivery date. The assistant apologised, said they'd made a mistake and the machine I'd bought was no longer in stock. He took me to the display, pointed to the next model up and asked if I'd like that one for the same price. I never even complained and they did that.
That level of customer service means I buy all my appliances from them. I bought a blue tooth speaker from them today; 2 year warranty as standard. I bought my last iMac from there; again a 2 year warranty as opposed to Apple's one year. Right, I sound like a stuck record, I admit it, I'm a JL fan.
Must differ from branch to branch. Shower of shite, both product and service, when I bought a JL brand freezer earlier this year.
AO.com, on the other hand, are totez amazeballz.
all elctrical stuff has 2yr warranty in the EU, doesn't it ?
jus' saying. I do like JL generally though
According to a bbc consumer programe a few weeks ago, most consumer products should last for 6 years, but its up to the customer to research common faults about equipment and approach seller.
buy a tv from jl and its a 5 yr warranty usually. they just know their stuff generally and customer service really matters when it counts. ive lost count of the times ive been genuinely amazed at the level of service they give. its rare thesedays so great to see it at jl. they'll price match anything as well. id buy everything there if i could... pity they dont do bikes...!
they'll price match anything as well.
Why not just be cheaper to start with?
