so after months of nothing two interviews come along in quick succession, one i have had, i think i may have been the only person interviewed. Since then the advert has come down making me think positive. The next interview is on monday with a much bigger firm better money, both would be a good career move the later more in my field with the first firm probably going to grow very big.
If on monday I feel the interview was positive, how would i go about getting a quick decision, like inside 24hours. How would you word that? Perhaps your an employer who has had this asked to you.
Try to get an indication of when the decision will be made and the information given to you. Ring on that day and ask how you got on. Don't expect to be told you haven't got the job even if you are the only one interviewed. For some reason employers have become extremely bad mannered over this, it costs nothing to let the interviewed know they have not been successful.
The interview is late in the afternoon so ????? hell maybe I'll ask there and then.

seriously i expect that if you don't get an interview but not if you are interviewed.
It's awkward I really liked the first interviewer seemed like a decent honest hardworking chap and in no way would i like to take that job to then turn round and say i have been offered £15k more bye bye. It is not in my nature or how i like to treat people.
Any other opinions welcome.
sandwich - know what you mean. I rang up and pestered, and eventually emailed the MD. Have a trial period starting December.
One company called me at 10pm to cancel the interview booked for the next day, apparently it was to be rebooked for this week but have heard nothing. Suspect they've found the person they want and didn't have the guts to tell me straight out.

I'm really quite shocked It is not that hard to say no.
hang on - you haven't got an offer yet........
go full on for the next interview - don't even contemplate you've got a job yet
if you get an offer and are waiting on the second one you are in a position of strength - at the moment you're not. If you go in thinking you're oksy you'll probably end up with nothing - that's the realist pessimist in me
if you get the first offer, then I'd tell the truth to the second lot that you have to make a decision - but if you have to play for time so be it
it's a sh*t world - if you are forced to accept one and then withdraw your acceptance, it's the way it goes......... I've had several verbal offers withdrawn (without being told in some cases - just waiting for the contract and nothing arrives) but I'm a Contractor so most probably think I deserve it!
hang on - you haven't got an offer yet........
your not wrong. 8)
So update time, I got offered the first job on friday I explained my situation and he said go to the interview and I need to tell him weds or thurs which was very kind of him.
The interview today went well I think, alot less painful than I thought. He has 2 more interviews ending thurs and said he'd let me know straight away. But if that's positive I'd have to do two ability interviews. I feel as though I'll have to take position one and don't want to **** him around as he seemed a nice chap, its just not in the location i want to be in, and I don't want to pigeon hole myself. But it is a good company and one that will grow.
Don't really know why i typed the above, still i'll hit send
