[Closed] jailbroken 3gs....how to unjailbreak???????
As above,ive sold this orange locked,then jailbroken iphone (after ive restored it..)and want to return to orange locked.....im downloading ios6 in order to unjailbeak,but keeps giving random times to completion and is stopping the download before ending ?... ideas?.... my buyer wants phone sharpish!..:/
Can't you download to iTunes on your PC first?
i thought as soon as you attempted to download an update it then re-locked it?
Ye tried the itunes thing first,but was giving 8hrs till completion!!... its an old laptop & slow wifi...maybe if try at work where wifi faster than home wifi?
Ye geordie,i want it locked back to orange again...will this upgrade automatically reset back to the orange locked again as was wen new do you think?
Updating the software will lock the phone again.
Try downloading the update first before installing it, rather than d/ling it on the fly. No idea about in-jailbreak in it though (other than updating it)
iOS 6 does take quite a time to download.......
So if i put the ios6 on it,it will put it back to "locked on orange only"?...im hoping..
It will lock back to Orange once it detects what SIM is installed.

Recently did my Wifes 3GS, via usb cable through iTunes on old Dell PC (but 100mb broadband). Dont recall it taking that long to do.

whatever you do do not go to setting and erase content and settings, it'll brick it.
put it into DFU mode prior to restore (press and hold home button and power for ten seconds (until turns off) keep hold of home and release power - you'll get a blank screeen) then update.
You can download the ipsw from felixbruns and hold shift and click restore in itunes to load that firmware.
Jailbraking is not unlocking.
Unlocking allows the phone on any network.
Jailbraking allows the installation of software *not* from the AppStore.
One is assuming its using ultrasn0w if the jailbreak allows networks
Yes used bosses imac to update to ios 6 succesfuly.....took to buyers house,but he wasnt bothered about checking with his orange sim,so i took the money & ran!... if no good im sure he will be in touch....gulp
