Go to Macrumors and search there, there is one STWer at least I think who has done it

Thanks, I had a look but didn't see anything specific. I don't know if I got this right but I only want to jailbreak it so I can get access to free streaming of films. Is there another way of doing this?

If you are streaming from a dodgy site then there isn't another way unless you can stream them onto, say, an Apple machine and then AirPlay / Mirror them to the ATV. If you download torrents you can AirPlay those from a Mac/iPhone/iPad - might need converting to MP4/mkv with handbrake and then importing into iTunes

You can't jailbreak 6.2 you need to downgrade the iOS using a programme called
Here's the step by step

I've done this a few times and it's very easy.

Geezauk thanks, hope I understand this. The link you posted will downgrade the ios 6.2 to an earlier version which is capable of being jail broken?
This would then let me add movie streaming sites to the apple tv..

Which version of Apple TV do you have? If it's a v3 AFAIK you're out of luck unless something has changed in the last 6 months.

Yep once it's jailbroken you can install xbmc media which allows you to stream video content here's a guide

Do a bit of reading up about doing it before you tackle it so your sure of what you doing
