Saw an ad on gumtree,struck up a deal with the seller,paid via bt,item not come,seller not answering phone! I have his name,sort code,bank ac number and bank name,I'm annoyed I've been ripped off,butim keen to stop him ripping anyone else off, by the way,if I google his number,he appears to place ads in Cornwall and kirkwall

How long have you waited. If your answer is in 'hours', then perhaps you need to wait a bit longer?

Since you have his details you can go after him. Simple next step would be write him a letter giving him 7 days to refund you or you'll take him to Small Claims Court.
