A single track review (or entity in FGF) for a stretchy bigger cover thing (velosock maybe though possibly a different name).
I seem to recall a comedy video of it being employed.
I can't find it. I'm after something possibly similar (so possibly a ctc bag if it's big enough) for the purposes of upsetting people less when keeping my bike indoors when I'm away
I'm looking for something for a modern XL 29, so needs to be reasonably big and ideally waterproof so I don't leave puddles, the more packable the better.
Suggestions or pointers to the aforementioned comedy video and review welcome
Do a search for "Benny Hill" and you should find it eventually.
Ah yes, that does ring a bell. I'm loathe to be googling Benny hill whilst I'm at work though, if only because those videos with no sound might look at little "can we have a chat"
Not google, search the forum.

🤣

Hannah struggling to use it IIRC.....
Pretty sure it was in a FGF.
Videos gone but it I think it was the Shand Velosock in FGF487
I miss being in the office for that kind of silliness. My laughing muscles need more exercise. And undoubtedly my pelvic floor too, in anticipation of such laughter.
Lol, not seen that before, very good.😂
Instructions be damned, you got there.
Thank you! That's the thingy I was looking for.
@stwhannah do you recall if it's any easier when you have read the instructions (I'm guessing really it just needs the brake lever elastic bannded) and if it's likely to prevent dirty workplace puddles at all? (except those it encourages in the car park, obviously)
I have two velosocks, use them to cover bikes being carried upstairs for storage. They are stretchy so size would I think be fine (fits larger bird aether 7 wheels on with ease). They are not waterproof though. They do a decent job of catching mud and drips. If you ride flats then also get some pedal covers as pedal pins will damage them.
Ta, sounds like it's probably a good place to start, maybe with an old towel underneath on really wet days
