We will be in touch
Tell us the most exotic city/place in the world you have visited, and include a picture (or more) of it with your post.
For me, it's Mexico City. I did a course there in 1997, and loved it. On the same trip, I also saw the Aztec Pyramids, which had been a dream of mine since childhood.
Exotic.. hmm.. Well I dunno how to quantify exotic, but here are a couple that filled me with the joy of travel. Neither particularly unusal places to go really.

Not even sure you can get there any more...
Come on, ladies and gentleman! Let's not let an atomic explosion have the last word!
Honeymoon recently saw us doing a very non us not active holiday. It was awesome as a one off.

Said someone at a Republican Demo last week.
Stayed at a school in rural Kenya several years back, exotic in that the kids laughed at the colour of our skin. Also dropped into Adnan Kashoggi's (no I can't spell his name, but a legendary old gun runner) old house for a stay.
On our honeymoon, my wife severely burnt her arse on the steps whilst climbing back down from the top of this in 45 degree heat.
Is that an angle pun?
If so, it's rather protracted.
Is that an angle pun?
I'm inclined to say yes, but that wouldn't be on the level.
The temperature was 45 degrees celsius.
the steps were 37°29'44"

I’ve been to Afghanistan, and got a geocache there.
Which could have been a bit alarming given the general advice about picking up random inviting-looking boxes in that part of the world. I had some corroborating information as it goes.
I’m not sure what exotic means really but I’ve spent a few weeks sailing round the Caribbean on my parents’ yacht (you said it was ok to show off 😆 ) including a stop off in St Barth’s. Very nice. But favourite spot was probably Grande Anse on St Martin or Green Island on Antigua.
My sister was an aid worker a few years ago and was based in Sudan / Darfur. She suffered a stomach problem (burst cyst or something) which rapidly turned very serious - ended up deciding to let a doctor operate rather than airlift to Kenya as the doctor thought she was about to die. Long story short she couldn't travel alone so I got shipped out to Sudan to escort her home.
Was a very weird place to visit - was given various briefing notes that told me what to do depending on how loud the artillery was and had to have a walkie talkie with me. The unsubtle secret police at the airport were fun too.
This is a picture of a bridge that had a sign next to it saying if you take pictures of this we'll shoot you as a spy. I took this from a bizzarely nice hotel whilst eating icecream surrounded by pictures of Ghadaffi who owned the place (he was about a week away from being strung up).

Here is a taxi with a sticker reminding you that assault rifles are not allowed to be carried.

On balance, i'd not recommend it for a short break!
How does one post a photo?

Probably Lake Song Kul in Kyrgyzstan for just being awesome or Turkmenistan for sheer weirdness. Dervaza gas crater was a huge bucket list tick!
Apologies for not being able to post individual pic!
Nice site, WildHunter.
And greentricky, that looks amazing.
Between the two of your travels, I think I'm going to have to plan a bike tour across the Near East and Orient.
We met a few people cycling across Asia. I was pretty jealous but the fiancee was mostly baffled ha. I think Kyrgyzstan would be an amazing place to bring a bike.
