Tarta de Santiago please, it's a lovely almond cake and will go nicely with a cuppa.
Can you see if you can get me an almond slice?
I had an incredible *grape* and almond slice in a coffee shop near to Brechfa just before the event, now I wonder if I will ever have cake as good as that again.

We had a cheap food shop that shut 6 months ago that used to get the cake rejects from M@S
Used to get about 6 of those half choc dipped mMS flapjacks for a tad over a quid. Great riding food 🙂

I'll have a custard slice too of any description. Quite like a fancy one like the OP pic but just as partial to the slab of solid custard with half a cm of white icing on top you get in our cattle market cafe.

I once went into a bakers in Bakewell town and asked for a Bakewell tart. The lady took major umbrage with me and told me in no short measure, that Mr Kipling makes Bakewell tarts. IN Bakewell they make Bakewell Puddings. So I had one of those instead 🙂
