As an old Suburban Bass t-shirt proclaimed:

Jungle is way before my time. I was 10 when these tunes were hitting raves. It is however my favourite genre of music and I wonder how it turned into inoffensive dnb and why the likes of Fresh went from rinsing dnb early 2000s to the edge less crap he makes now. I know the real answer is money but is such a shame.

Jungle is way before my time

I know that everybody sez this about their youth... but they [the early-mid 90s] were indeed the glory years.

Can we have some suggestions for dark brooding heavy dnb albums/mixes please?

Not really been a dnb head but have Recently been listening to the latest fabric live by dj hazard and I think it's pretty good. Also like magnetic by jonny l.

Any more along those lines?

I know I have studied in depth the art form.

I have quite a few original pressings as well as re presses. But I no longer have decks so all of my vinyl is up for grabs.

Agreed - good share.

A load of old mid life ravers.

...and some not so mid-life.

So something a bit more contemporary...

Nah, Manchester city centre...

I leave the right earphone out so I can hear the traffic.

And, of course, MetalHeadz. Kinda goes without saying though...
