More pretty mind blowing stuff from SpaceX - I still struggle to comprehend the complexity of sending one rocket up to meet another rocket in space and then dock with it completely automatically (not forgetting landing the first stage back on a ship in the middle of the sea)!
Bonkers
It could tidy up some of the old space junk while it's up there 🙂

They probably used the docking computer from Elite....

Footflaps,
Thats Asteroids, from Atari...
Nope, definitely Elite. There's a clue in the pic.

Yes, the word "Elite" would normally be a give away...
Asteroids

Elite

Real commanders docked without a computer. 😉
Everyone knows that you need a few successful missions before you can afford the docking computer (and the military lasers)
Military lasers reminds me of Moonraker..

Gamer slapdown!
I just like the little details, like the sensor suite dummy on board is called Ripley...
Real commanders came out backwards shooting the shit out the place. Meleeeeeee!
I just like the little details, like the sensor suite dummy on board is called Ripley…
Imagine if they had a bit of fun with it, and swapped it for a spring loaded Alien just prior to launch. The strangely tracksuited ISS astronaut that opened the hatch would have suffered a "brown out".

They missed a trick there, surely they should have included a dummy Alien...
... that pops out of Ripley at an unexpected moment
… that pops out of Ripley at an unexpected moment
A small detail, but Ripley was the only member of the Nostromo crew who didn’t become infected...
There’s a neat video showing the view from inside the SpaceX capsule, and the ISS, with the ISS crew accessing the capsule.
I like the names of their drone ships, blatantly stolen from Ian M banks:
"Just Read the Instructions" operates in the Pacific for launches from Vandenberg;
"Of Course I Still Love You" operates in the Atlantic for launches from Cape Canaveral.
"A Shortfall of Gravitas" is under construction.
" As of 11 January 2019, 26 Falcon 9 flights have attempted to land on a drone ship, with 20 of them succeeding. "
I’d missed the ship names. That’s made me happy.
