The last two days at work have been awful: People that never stop talking at you; regulations that inhibit your ability to do the job; it never ends.

I get home and I'm too exhausted to enjoy my family, so I get all grumpy and end up being the antithesis of fun.

Then, I try to get into work this morning, and can not believe how stupid some drivers are! I pass two private schools, and the sheer number of perfectly coifed mums driving Mercedes M-classes or Range Rovers (slowly) between the two different parking areas via the MAIN FLIPPING ROAD is un-flipping-believable!

Now I'm in my office, and the heater that hasn't worked all winter has just kicked in - making it unbearably hot - and I must face another day of people talking, talking, talking... even when it is clear I am trying to do other things.

Please say something to lighten the day (other than MTFU).

You'd think having a family, a job and your health would be enough?

The more you try and get away from it the worse it will become, I simply switch of my emotions and do what needs to get done.

That way it isn't a lot harder and more stressful, sounds like your having a rough time of it, I've just had a very rough 4 months and have no idea when it will get better.

Still I'm feeling reasonably possitive, here try watching this.

Anyone else got any funny clips, lets see if we can lighten the mood?

We were our riding through the woods at the back of Stirling University last night and the ground was a carpet of Snowdrops. Spring is just around the corner, hang in there dude. 8)

In other amusing driving related antics, a 3-series driver (new looking "60" plate) managed to drive over a jutting out kerb round the corner from my flat at about 20mph this morning, despite there being no other cars on the road (which is easily wide enough for two cars to pass). I had headphones in and still heard the crunches as the front then the back wheel went over. I winced at the thought of two new wheels.

Hopefully laughing at other people's misfortune / stupidity will help you.

It's been a long, hard winter this year, and lots of folk, myself included, feel the same as you.

However, the green shoots of spring are starting to push through, and soon the trails will dry out and the sun will reappear from behind the clouds.

Sometimes it feels like you've been sentenced to push a boulder up a mountain for all eternity, but that's just not true. Try not to be so hard on yourself dude. Step back, take a deep breath, and remember, it's only a goddamn job. You know what the really important things in your life are, just try not to get caught up in the clutter of modern living, otherwise you'll end up with a nervous breakdown or a drink problem.

Switch off the computer* and the TV, and go and ride your bike.

(well, not when your boss is there, obviously)

Failing all that, book a road trip.
