S/S = wear tweed, shoot game
O/U = wear jeans, shoot clays

That said, I don't actually adhere to the general "rules", mainly because I never wanted to own and get used to 2 guns. If you're handy with a gun, you'll be handy with either IMO (the reverse is also true 🙂 )

I got some funny looks turning up at a family organised game shoot on boxing day many years ago with my O/U. Little did they know i'd split about 5,000 clays with it in the few months previous. Needless to say, it wasn't a very sporting day 🙂

What gun is it just out of curiosity? I'd quite like an S/S.

My libations may be a little late, as I am being the "hired heavy" for a friend who's split up with her boyfriend and he's gone a bit doolally on her. So, am going to help her retrieve her stuff safely.

She has, however, promised me beer in payment. So I think I know where we'll be going later....!

No, been on the wagon since 01 March - started getting massive headaches after only a couple of pints or glasses of wine.

The better halves 'significant' birthday celebrations have just commenced! My frankly insane best mate is presently on the M6 on his way to ours for the weekend. The kids are at the grandparents for the Duration! It's going to be utter carnage!!!
