I saw two swallows just as I was leaving the archery club, there’s a small barn by the entrance to the track that leads to the range, one flew out of it, the other was perched on a telephone wire by the road, then flew off to join the first one. It must be summer now, right? 🤣

It's definitely not summer.

I've still got electrical tape over the extractor fan vents on the ground floor. When I peel it up I can feel a jet of cold air blasting in.

When the tape is off, summer has arrived.

Close to summer. I've got the annual flu and bad back that signifies it's soon!

I have to say, despite how pleasant it was this afternoon, when I went out to sort out the hedgehog’s restaurant, and top up the fatball feeder, there was a definite chill in the air!
Still, it is April, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves! 😁

The sun is having an effect in the unlikeliest of places. I got a cheery ‘good morning’ from a roadie on this mornings ride. 😃

Brambles and nettles are still pretty much non existent in Derbyshire, based on today's ride. I also saw the first bit of hedge porn I've seen for years on the ride this morning. Who says print is dead 😀
