I am using Sky Broadband which works really well on my PC but my laptop has a constant problem of dropping off mid download or page etc.
It is an old laptop 2003? and i am using a belkin wireless G card.
I have also wiped the machine and tried Netgear USB device off my PC and its no more reliable.
Do I just need to replace my laptop?
Any help appreciated.

Have you tried pinging it?
connection dropping out isnt going to be your PC. I have the same with my wireless usb devices, they all seem a bit flakey. onboard wireless cards seem to connect to the same networks flawlessly.
This is a 2003 laptop, is it maybe time it had a new owner?
I have tried my wireless 3G Vodafone dongle and it works perfectly.
what OS/patch level is your laptop? Pre-service pack 1 XP builds are pretty shonky on wireless connectivity.
