How can I 'force' a PC to just bl**dy well display on one monitor, the one that is attached when it starts up?
(XP64, GeForce 9600GT, halfway through a 'I wonder if the spare flat screen will work on the PC when small child intervened and clicked a few things to get rid...' upgrade of sorts)
It seems that the one monitor now thinks it is a second, much larger monitor....
Imagine if people posted bike-related questions with Subject lines like "Quick question for a dickhead cyclist".
Let the inner-geek flow or forever swim against the current my child. 8)

In answer to your question, yes it's easy, I just can't be assed to share the answer with you 😆
EDIT: weird double post. Better ask the resident geek to investigate.
right click your desktop, and go into screen resolution or whatever its called on your OS, from there it should be quite obvious.
If i right click, or try to open any window, it does not appear on *that* screen, it seems to be on screen 2 (which is not attached and does not exist...).
enfht - 😳 I have a habit of winding people up on here this week....
Hmm, I have a dual screen display at work, I always manage it through the Nvidia control panel (accessed through the control panel display settings). Probably varies according to OS and graphics card though?
Right, I have pulled out the graphics card, restarted and bingo we are ok.
Time to re-insert and install the card and realise that s-video on a Geforce card does not mean a space LCD telly will work.
Well done dickhead 😉
