There is no reason why its not real easy to do with a powerful telescope with electronic tracking

you can see the moon in daylight after all

It's only 250 miles away as the crow flies...so I would imagine that it's real.

Extremely cool though.

If I had my way, we'd have spent less on ICBMs and PFI projects and more on lovely silvery spacecraft punting around the heavens in a manner akin to 2001.
