[Closed] Is your current MP truly honourable?

My previous one most definitely not. Opportunist defector. Glad he got booted out by a local girl.

edit: and in a different constituency, the one before that, honourably spoke out against his leadership Tony Bliar and the war in Iraq... but then promptly went and voted with his party. So no.

Mine is Liz McInnes who seems OK.

As a result of previous [s]gerrymandering[/s] boundary changes I am, by a matter of about 100m, not in Simon Danzcuk's constituency, for which I am forever grateful.

Richard Benyon, Tory. Sadly it's a no for Newbury...

Writing in The Guardian, George Monbiot wrote that he [Benyon] "repeatedly wields his power in ways that promote his own interests" and being "so enmeshed in potential conflicts of interest that were he to recuse himself from all the issues in which he has a personal stake, he would have nothing to do but order the departmental paperclips".

There was an MP local-ish to me who had integrity and humanity in spades.

Then she was shot dead in the street by a Nazi.

Craig Whittaker, Con, Calder Valley. Typical Tory robot. Suit full of **** all.

same here.

Previously Angela Leadsom was my MP, utterly utterly useless. I asked her about her views on AV once and she didn't know what I was taking about.

My MSP is a ace, properly hard working and balanced, normal chap. He also rides a nice Salsa softail in orange colour, his son a nippy 14" Inbred.... 8)

Edit: he also lurks on here from time to time, I'm sure the Inbred was bought from classifieds...

Another (non) vote for Whitakker, Craig. No redeeming features. At all. If it wasn't a tight three way seat he wouldn't be anywhere near parliament.

Our previous MP was great Andrew Miller

His successor has so far been OK Justin Madders

I get on okay with my MP, though we don't agree on a lot of issues. She's very much a Blairite, and backed Liz Kendall and Owen Smith in the last two leadership elections, and went to the States to campaign for Clinton.

Michael Fallon, Tory minister.

No idea on his achievements.

Caroline Ansell, so NO. Conspicuous by her absence, deranged view of "how good" our diabolical local NHS is. Outright lies regarding the installation of the Willingdon Chord during the election. She needs a good GOT shaming session.

Michael Fallon, Tory minister.

He was our MP until Alan Milburn beat him.

I used to work with someone who was at uni with him. She has a brilliant story about his behaviour at a party that I can't post online...

Mine thinks climate change is a conspiracy and uses The Sun and the Daily Mail to back up his concerns that not all refugees are children and should have their ages checked by their teeth.

He's a Tory, obvs.

Ivan Lewis, is actually born and bred in the area and can be seen in the constituency. Was the shadow secretary for NI and also has a sizeable Jewish population in his patch, he's often having to wade in on the israel issues which he does with what seems to be a level headed response. Google doesn't obviously thow any questions. Seems to be one of the good ones. Was deposed as NI shadow by Corbyn, not sure why other than him not being a supporter, dunno if there's a backstory .

Seems to be ok

Mine is former hulture secretary Jeremy Cun*, and at a previous address, it was Anne Milton public "supporter" of Disability Challengers charity who voted in favour of personal independence payment cuts. Both truly repulsive characters.
