This is basically a plot device from a low budget B-movie about a shapeshifting alien that kills women by getting them to get their norks out and then impaling them through the groin with some sort of terrifying flesh-harpoon with barbs on it and laying its eggs in them.

For reasons that defy explanation, it was invented by a hair-transplant centre in Manchester, to get you thinking about how much better looking you'd be if you weren't bald.
