[Closed] Is this a terminal sign for sram cx1 shifter?

Sram cx1 on my slate. Been fine for 3 years. Noticed lately it was quieter than normal and then the shifting went a bit vague. No problems. Changed cable. Now I have had 3 episodes where the cable seems to jump out of the shifter ‘groove’ meaning I can’t shift. It seems the end of the shifter cable ‘jumps’ out of its housing meaning the shifter isn’t pulling the cable. If I remove the cable the shifter is fine.

Anyone had this and is it a new shifter? If it is can I run any sram shifter (I have seen a sram red shifter on sale which is 11speed)?
